Despite how some people say emergency supplies are to difficult to store, it's still important for them to be prepared for the Cascadia earthquake because it can keep them safe when hospitals are too busy or damaged, and when resources and help won't be available for at least fourteen days due to destroyed infrastructure and roads.
ReplyDeleteAlthough earthquake kits may be expensive they are necessary when the cascadia earthquake hits because it will take 14 days for emergency groups to bring food and supplies and many roads and bridges will be destroyed. -Abby

Scientists have given strong geological evidence that a 9.0 quake could hit Oregon at any moment, and that preparing is crucial to safety, even though spending time and money is needed.

DeleteAlthough many people claim there is only a 17-20% chance that the Cascadia earthquake will actually come, we still need to prepare for it because it could come at any time and scientists say when it does come it will be an 8.7-9.2 so we need to be prepared. :)
ReplyDeleteEven though some people say it s to expensive having an earthquake plan is the best thing do to because the earthquake could happen at any time and food will be scarce.

ReplyDeleteThough some people say the city should help us prepare for the earthquake, I don't think they should because, it's our choice to prepare or not, we don't need help yet we will need help if it does happen, it would be a waste of money if it didn't happen since there is only a 20% chance it's going to happen.
ReplyDeletepreparing for the next big earth quake might not be so smart, it takes money and storage space, even though some say it will happen in the next 50 years.

ReplyDeleteI think the city should be ready because it will take a long time to rebiuled important buildings like hospitals, and things like power plants that can damage the city and things like close by rivers, it is in portent to have these things be ready because they are things that could be damaged for a long time or even permenitny. i think it is important to nave these things ready even though some people think they will not be damaged to much.
