Friends of Trees is delighted to announce that we will be returning to Errol Heights this Saturday to mulch the many plants YOU helped plant and we would love for you to join us!
- Where: Errol Heights, 4543 SE Harney Dr Portland, OR 97206 (map); look for the Friends of Trees signs to guide you as you arrive!
- When: Sat, April 22nd, 9am – 12pm -- please meet by 8:45am at the staging site listed above. Tree care activities will start promptly at 9am and wrap up by 12pm.
- What: Join us in mulching the trees and shrubs planted earlier this year at Errol Heights! This tree care event is in conjunction with Portland Parks and Recreation, Bureau of Environmental Services, Metro, Friends of Errol Heights, and The Johnson Creek Watershed Council!
- Wear: Please dress appropriately for the weather and the work. Friends of Trees provides work gloves (including youth sizes) and guidance, but we ask that you wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots (for your safety, no sandals of any kind, please!), and rain-ready layers that you don’t mind getting a little dirty! And as always, free breakfast treats and coffee/hot chocolate will be offered as well!
- We Love Groups! If you are planning to bring a planting posse, we ask that any group of 5 or more pre-register via our Group Registration Form. If your group is smaller than 5, no need to sign up--just show up in time to enjoy those breakfast treats!
**Please note that we require all youth under 18 years planting without their parent/guardian to bring a signed youth waiver with them.
