Action for the Refugee Cohort

  • Letters:    Please address the letters to Senator Merkley, Senator Wyden or Mayor Wheeler. The letters are thank you letters about Portland remaining a sanctuary city. Please write the letters in a
  • formal format and keep them to roughly a paragraph or two. We will pick up the letters on Friday February 24 or you can give them to Claire.S, Ella, Kaya, or Gretchen.

  • Solidarity Selfie: Write a short note on a piece of paper such as “Refugees are welcome here” or “I stand with Immigrants” or “#AllAreWelcomeHere”.  Take a picture with you note, then post it on social media, make sure it’s at @POTUS and @PplsAction also use the hashtag #SolidaritySelfie.
We would really appreciate it if you all would be willing to participate in these opportunities, the refugee ban is a pressing issue that will put the lives of many innocent people at risk.
