Errol Heights Park (Inner Southeast) – SOLVE Beach & Riverside Clean Up! Invasive species removal & litter patrol
Saturday, September 21, 9:00 AM-noon
Join Portland Parks & Recreation, Friends of Errol Heights and SOLVE—as part of this state-wide clean-up day!—to complete important ecological enhancement projects at this little gem of a Park. Removing invasive species helps protect wildlife habitat. This plus litter patrol helps provide cleaner water in Johnson Creek, which supports salmon and other fish. Keep your eye out for beaver, ducks, and other wildlife as you volunteer alongside other community members—everyone welcome, and no experience necessary! Wear long thick pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and sturdy shoes. Bring a water bottle, rain gear, and sunhat. Instruction, tools, gloves, water, coffee/tea, and snacks provided. Children welcome and must be accompanied by an attentive adult.
Tri-met bus: #75 will drop you off at SE 45th & Tenino Dr. Walk about 200 feet south on SE 45th—group will either be meeting here, or you can walk the trail through the natural area to the SE 52nd St. entrance (~ ½ mile), another possible meeting location.
Bike/Walk on the Springwater Corridor trail: www.PortlandOregon.gov/parks/springwatermap.
RSVP to SOLVE (you’ll be sent confirmed meeting location details): https://www.solveoregon.org/opportunity/a0C1I00000N1D98
